Newtown Kindness Changes Name to Charlotte Helen Bacon Foundation

Hundreds to attend benefit concert in honor and memory of Sandy Hook victim, Charlotte Bacon Newtown, CT.

Newtown Kindness announced it has changed it’s name to the Charlotte Helen Bacon Foundation. The new name reflects the organization’s desire to move in a direction beyond kindness initiatives. In addition, the organization has new a website: www.charlottehelenbaconfoundation.org.

A benefit concert is planned for June 17 at the Emelin Theater in Mamaroneck, New York. The Alternate Routes, a local CT band, and Unforgettable Fire will perform.

The organization will also use the evening to celebrate Newtown Kindness’ past accomplishments and introduce the Charlotte Helen Bacon Foundation, as well as the mission and direction of the foundation. “It is an exciting time for us, as an organization” said, JoAnn Bacon, board member and Charlotte’s mother. “We have evolved and taken the time to redefine our goals and mission to better reflect the direction we have been led. We continue to keep our eyes on Charlotte. She is our guide.”

The programs and initiatives of the Charlotte Helen Bacon Foundation include: Charlotte’s Litter Therapy Dog Program Charlotte Bacon Veterinary Scholarship at North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine The Charlotte Bacon Selah Scholarship The Charlotte Bacon Bereavement and Grief Research Initiative.
