Corinne Hindes at age 11, noticed a homeless man near her home without a coat on a cold winter’s day. She was horrified to see him shivering, and resolved to find a way to help. Founding Warm Winters in 2011 with her best friend, Katrine, they began collecting the unclaimed lost & found clothing from their local ski resort, bringing warm clothing to their local homeless shelter. By year-end 2015, Warm Winters had partnered with 30 ski resorts in 12 states, engaging 500 youth volunteers, delivering 15,000 items of warm clothing to 9,000 homeless. By 2019, Warm Winters will clothe 50,000 homeless!
