Colin Kosmicki – Finalist

“My name is Colin, I am 10 years old.  I started Warm Hearts Warm Bodies when I was 5 years old.  My mom and I were on our way to do the bell ringing for the Salvation Army.  We saw a boy walking with his mom without a coat.  It was cold and it made me sad.   I told my mom I wanted to donate my coat to help….. Two weeks later it was Christmas Eve and my very FIRST donation to The Open Door Mission thanks to everything I collected from family and friends.  Five years later I’m feeling great that my city, teammates, classmates, friends, family, and hockey players from all over continue to support what I’m doing.” -Colin

Warm Hearts Warm Bodies, By Colin continues to inspire youth hockey players to collect coats in their own community and Colin is pleased that the kindness has spread throughout his own community and his drop-boxes and events grow each year allowing Colin to reach his goal.
